每當大型節日來臨，使用大量包裝紙與裝飾物過度包裝的禮品，總會引起環保人士一片撻伐聲浪。一家來自巴塞隆納的設計公司，便以取材於大自然的沙子做為新包裝概念，他們將沙粒壓縮成一個中空矩形盒，頂部以一個木塞密封，盒身則貼心的切割出縫隙線以方便扳開，外部另有一個木盒包裝避免撞碎。打開蓋子取出禮物之後，便可將禮物盒扳碎回歸於大地，取材於大自然的包裝概念，最後依然隸屬於自然。
Opening a Sand-Wrapper Present Every year during holidays, the use of wrapping paper and overly decorated presents is always harshly criticized by environmentalists. A design company from Barcelona has created a new way of wrapping presents using a box made of natural sand. First, they compress the sand granules into a hollow rectangular box and seal up the top with a wooden plug. The box contains natural gaps to aid in breaking it open. This is then packaged in another wooden box to prevent it from falling apart. When the present is opened and removed from the sand box, the box can be crushed and returned to nature. This packing concept supports the environment by returning to nature what was
taken from it.
